AAF Nashville — Gold Addy winner

Wabash Cannonball is a tribute to a Nashville that is gone but not forgotten. The cigarʼs name and branding are based on the former OpryLand roller coaster; the Wabash Cannonball, which is based on a song, which is based on a fictional train.

The red and blue represent the coasterʼs two car sets of the same colors. Where most cigars use gold foil, we opted for a more subdued bronze for the center piece, reminiscent of a steam engineʼs boiler face. The coaster opened in 1975 and closed in 1997, hence the numbers flanking the front sides of the band. Finally the box art was designed to mimic an old-style ticket.

Wabash Cannonball evokes an old Nashville vibe, and itʼs world blend is one that will take the cigar enthusiast for a nice, long, flavorful ride. 5,000 cigars, sold in boxes of 12, were produced at Tabacalera La Alianza in theDominican Republic exclusively for Casa de Montecristo: Nashville.
